Between the cost of pensions and mandated healthcare, it’s become more difficult for company owners to hire in-house cleaning personnel. This issue will continue to open the door for contract cleaning services now and in the future.

We believe the Cleanstart Systems business model has proven to be beyond successful, so much so that we are now looking to franchise. Right now, we have expanded into areas of our home base state of New York and envision several more Cleanstart Systems franchises throughout the state…and are also considering other locations, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

About the Founder

Robert Blount had first contact with the janitorial industry while attending college when he took on part—time work cleaning a country club. He was somehow not included on the company’s payroll for the project so he had to invoice directly. In practice, that was his first foray into the world of being self-employed in the cleaning industry. From that first job, he received referrals and before he knew it had more work ”than I could shake a stick at.”

Robert realized the potential of owning a cleaning service and continued to grow what he describes as a 32-year career that is ”wonderful and challenging.”

Over the past three plus decades, he has built a business that has seen consistent growth and is recognized as a one stop source for cleaning service, providing customers with comprehensive and quality janitorial skills. With several locations in New York, we are now poised to expand our Cleanstart Systems business model further by offering franchising opportunities throughout New York and other areas of the country.
